So you have an AT&T iPhone and utilize the always on Caller ID blocking option in the preferences. However there are some phone numbers you would like to display your number to so that they know you are calling, your spouse for example.
I did some searching on the Internet and found a few options that did not work. I am certain they had this option because I used it years ago. So I called and the nice gentleman from Bombay was able to figure out what I was trying to say after seven minutes are so and he asked “did you try dialing *31# before the number” I said no let me try, and sure enough it worked. I didn’t find this posted anywhere online so I thought I would broadcast it.
Again if you use the feature on your iPhone to always block your caller id (or show your caller id) feature, then to temporarily unblock your number add *31# before the number you dial. You can also add *31# before a number in your address book to make it easier.
Let us know if it works for you?
